About me

I’m Julia, an art psychotherapist and artist based in London. I am available for work with children, young people and adults. My recent work has been working with adults in private practice and within the voluntary sector working with adolescents in secondary schools. I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field with young people and adults with much of this being with individuals on the autism spectrum and with related conditions such as ADHD. I have also worked therapeutically with young children in primary schools, adolescents in an alternative education provision and with older adults in care homes.

I can help with all sorts of challenges you may face, including anxiety, depression, identity, cultural difficulties, loss, personal development, LGBTQ+ issues, self-esteem or work related issues. I work flexibly in my approach to meet your individual needs and can offer short and long term therapy.

Before my training I worked in a range of community and residential settings with vulnerable adults with disabilities and mental health difficulties in America and the UK. This includes work in care homes, day centres and low income housing services. I often used art making as a way to connect and communicate with my clients, which drew me to pursue a degree in art therapy. I hold an MA in Art Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton. I am registered with the BACP, HCPC and BAAT

I have facilitated both group and individual work and am available for both as such. Please get in contact if you have any questions or would like to speak further.
